Hax was born in Uganda, East Africa. His family roots go back three generations into Colonial East Africa. Kenya is where he spent most of his childhood, whilst his parents managed hotels in some of Kenya’s prime wildlife reserves.

Surrounded by photographs and films by his Grandfather and family, within Africa’s rich tapestry, his creative talents were nurtured from an early age.

Hax began working from his own studio in London shooting beauty, His work has been featured in magazines such as Vogue, Company and Playboy and original Hax photographic prints are now collected as fine art throughout the world.

Hax is dedicated to pursuing the study of light and the “Art” of imagery. Today, his work encompasses beauty, fashion, landscape and reportage.

His progression from photography to film was inevitable and his clients include Euro Sport, The History Channel, The Crime and Investigation Network and most recently Setanta TV.

Today his work encompasses both commercial and editorial projects in stills as well as film and video. Hax recent projects have reflected his passion for Africa, its history, as well as current social and ecological growth.
