BIOGRAPHY
 
Mike was born in Uganda, East Africa in 1960. His family moved to Kenya where he spent his childhood, whilst his parents managed hotels in some of East Africa’s prime wildlife reserves. From the age of six to eleven, he attended Greensteads Boarding School, in Kenya

In 1971 Mike was accepted to Shebbear College in Devon, England, to begin his formal education, where he achieved six GCSE qualifications, in English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Art and Technical Drawing.

1977 Mike entered a technical college in Surrey, to study engineering, for the purpose of entering University to read Naval Architecture.

1978 marked a change in Mike’s educational direction where he attended Lewis College to study Photography.

1980 Mike started working as a freelance photographer, accepting editorial and commercial assignments.

1982 Mike attended the London College of Printing, where he studied Studio and Large Format Photography.

1984 to 1998, Mike opened a commercial studio in the heart of London, building an extensive client base such McCann Erickson, Ellison’s, and Andrew Derrick advertising agencies with his pictures seen in; Vogue, Company, Cleo and Brides magazines, through to Poster art for Athena as well as selling photographs to Penthouse and Playboy empires.

1999 Mike sold his London Studio to enabel him to travel more. He continued to work in the commercial sector, but is now embarking on documentary films, Photo Journalistic assignments and more Art projects.

2004 After twenty fours years as a commercial photographer, Mike exhibited, for the first time some of his personal photography to the public at the Galeria Punto de Encuentro con El Art in Arrecife, Lanzarote.

2005 Mike is working on a photgraphic book on the Maasai in East Africa, featuring over 300 photographs as well as including a DVD documentary of his journey through Maasai Land.
